How big are the Mobile Storage Units (MSU)? Each mobile storage unit measures approximately 5' wide x 7' long x 8' tall.

How do I know how many MSU's I will need? On average, each MSU will hold up approximately one to one and a half average size rooms of houshold content. To help estimate the number of containers you'll need, click here or ring us with an inventory so we can estimate how many units you may need.

How do I pack the containers to keep the content from shifting? You simply pack the container in the same manner that you would pack a removal van, avoiding empty space and protecting furniture and fragile items with moving blankets, bubble wrap and moving boxes.

Where will you place the MSU? The mobile storage units can be placed at your premises in a location that will be easiest for you to load and unload. They can be placed anywhere within your premises where a car can be parked.

I do not have my own drive way, where will the MSU be placed? If you do not have your own drive way or live in a flat, the MSU will be parked along with our transportation vehicle until you finish loading up (as long as parking restion allow). For security and legal reasons MSU cannot be left unattached from our vehicle on public roads.

What about insurance? Your goods should be covered by your normal house content policy, however, we advice that you contact your insurance provider and confirm the goods are insured whilst temorarily outside your property. We carry a maximum insurance to the value of £250.00 once the goods are in the MSU, in transit and in the warehouse. We strongly advice you top-up your insurance cover depending on the value of the goods you are loading to the MSU. Contact us to obtain top-up insurance through our insurers.

Can I access my belongings while they are in storage? Yes, you can access your MSU 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) between 10am and 2.00pm at one of our warehouses. We require 24hrs notice to retrieve your MSU and place it in the customer viewing area.

Are your warehouses secure? Yes. Our warehouses are very secure. All are facilities are equipped with intrusion systems and monitored by a central station. The warehouse, including all access points are covered by CCTV and only authorised personnel have access in to the main storage facility.

How do I make payment? It's simple, when you ring to make a booking, our staff will guide you through the procedures and take a payment by telephone. Unfortuntely, we do not accept cash. Payments can only be made by bank tranfer, standing order, credit or debit cards. Only commercial customers can arrange payment by cheque.

Does Mobile Self Storage handle business records? Yes, active and inactive records can be stored with us. We offer a complete records management and storage service.
